Overview
The Water and Sewer Division of the Public Works Department is responsible for maintaining the water distribution and sewer collection systems in the Village. The Department annually seeks competitive bids for water main parts and materials and sewer pipe parts and materials.

Fiscal Impact
The proposed Fiscal Year 2023 Water and Sewer Fund Budget allocates funds for materials and supplies for the operation and maintenance of the water distribution and sewer collection systems in the Operational Supplies account, numbers 5040-43730-777-560631 ($162,000.00)
Based on the bid summary and the estimate of materials needed, staff anticipates spending up to an amount of $70,000.00 of the total $162,000.00 with Ziebell Water Service Products, Inc.
Background
Five vendors provided material price bids for 2023. The materials are purchased from the lowest cost qualified vendor based on the availability and quality of the material. Staff is bringing forward agreements with vendors that exceed $25,000.00, the Village Manager's spending authority.
Ziebell Water Service Products, Inc, has provided the lowest competitive pricing for some of these materials. Staff recommends entering into an agreement for $70,000.00 with Ziebell Water service Product, Inc.
2023 pricing is relatively unstable with increases in all products. Some vendors have elected to not provide pricing on some items difficult to guarantee an annual price.
