Overview
The proposed change order provides for the incorporation of animal control services into the Village's comprehensive permitting, licensing and inspection software, CityView. Specifically, the modifications will streamline the animal license application process, reunite lost animals with their owners and track interactions between owners and the Village's Animal Control Officer, including any necessary enforcements measures.

Background
The current licensing system does not include many features necessary for the animal control officer to complete her work in the field. For instance, the current system is not accessible through a mobile device. If an animal is picked up wearing an Oak Park animal license tag, the Animal Control Officer cannot look up the owner's information remotely. Utilizing CityView's application would include mobile access, allowing the Animal Control Officer to look up the information in the field.
CityView's module is also more user friendly for residents, allowing for online applications/renewals and the ability to update information as needed. Residents will also be able to upload pictures and vaccination information of their pets, which would further assist in reuniting lost animals with their owners.
