Regular Village Board meetings are typically held at 7:00 p.m., the first three Tuesdays of each month in Council Chambers of Village Hall (room 201), 123 Madison St. When a Regular Meeting falls on a holiday, the meeting typically is held the following night. The Village Board also meets in special sessions from time to time. However, dates and times of Special Meetings can vary and may change.

Overview
On October 19, 2020 the Village Board received a report on the Greenhouse Gas Inventory Update, Energy Benchmarking with Energy Star Portfolio Manager with next steps identified as staff recommendations for a community engagement process and framework for development of a Climate Action Plan (CAP) and Resiliency Plan aligned with the ICLEI ClearPath platform.

Background
On October 19, 2020 the Village Board received a report on the Greenhouse Gas Inventory Update, Energy Benchmarking with Energy Star Portfolio Manager. At that time the next steps identified were a recommendations for a community engagement process and framework for development of a Climate Action Plan (CAP) and Resiliency Plan aligned with the ICLEI ClearPath platform.

Illinois' CEJA bill before the legislature defines that the engagement process should include:
(a) An effective planning process shall engage with a diverse set of stakeholders in local communities, including: environmental justice organizations; economic development organizations; faith-based nonprofit organizations; educational institutions; interested residents; health care institutions; tenant organizations; housing institutions, developers, and owners; elected and appointed officials; and representatives reflective of each local community.
