Regular Village Board meetings are typically held at 7:00 p.m., the first three Tuesdays of each month in Council Chambers of Village Hall (room 201), 123 Madison St. When a Regular Meeting falls on a holiday, the meeting typically is held the following night. The Village Board also meets in special sessions from time to time. However, dates and times of Special Meetings can vary and may change.

Overview
Overview
As part of the 2017 Budget, the Village included a line item of $100,000 as a continuation of a program started in 2016 to support Business Districts within the Village of Oak Park. The contract for services is with the Oak Park River Forest Chamber of Commerce (the Chamber) to provide Business Districts with support to establish best practices surrounding recruitment and management and membership support.

Line Item 1001-46205-101-530667 provides $100,000 for this activity. Contract administration and oversight will be within the responsibilities of the Development Customer Services Director.

Background
As part of the 2017 Budget, we included a line item of $100,000 to institute a new program to support Business Districts within the Village of Oak Park. The funds were to be used to provide Business Districts with support to establish best practices surrounding recruitment and management and membership support. On June 3, 2016, Oak Park River Forest Chamber of Commerce was awarded a contract to provide the requested under Phase 1 of the project. In 2016, the Chamber has completed Phase 1 proposal to create the infrastructure needed to support the Business District program.

This new contract in 2017 is for Phase 2 of the project which allows the Chamber to provide direct assistance to the individual Business Districts to manage and / or improve the structure of the individual business districts. Payment is on a fee for service basis, payable in twelve monthly installments.
