Regular Village Board meetings are typically held at 7:00 p.m., the first three Tuesdays of each month in Council Chambers of Village Hall (room 201), 123 Madison St. When a Regular Meeting falls on a holiday, the meeting typically is held the following night. The Village Board also meets in special sessions from time to time. However, dates and times of Special Meetings can vary and may change.

Overview
Competitive bids were opened on May 18, 2017, for the Pavement Patching Project. Eight contractors picked up bid documents and seven bids were received. The low responsible bid was submitted by Schroeder Asphalt Services, Inc. in an amount of $58,570.75. Staff is recommending approving the contract at the available budget amount of $125,000, which is higher than the bid amount, in order to get additional pavement patching work completed.

Fiscal Impact
The costs for this project would be funded through the FY 2017 Capital Improvement Fund, Public Works - Engineering, for Local Street Construction account no. 3095-43780-101-570951 which provides $200,000 for pavement patching. There is currently $1250,000 available in this fund as $50,000 was allocated for alley patching with the Alley program and $25,000 is programmed to be used as part of an upcoming street resurfacing contract to patch a portion of Austin Boulevard. It is recommended to approve the contract at the available budget amount of $125,000, which is higher than the bid amount, in order to get additional pavement patching work completed.
