Regular Village Board meetings are typically held at 7:00 p.m., the first three Tuesdays of each month in Council Chambers of Village Hall (room 201), 123 Madison St. When a Regular Meeting falls on a holiday, the meeting typically is held the following night. Staff is recommending that the Village of Oak Park purchase from the existing provider Carbonday the updated version of the existing ChargePoint equipment for 3 new electric vehicle charging units at Holley Court and 2 new units at Avenue Garage. The new units feature a longer charging cable resolving issues users may have in reaching the charging cable to vehicles.

Fiscal Impact
The FY 2017 Parking and Mobility Services Capital Improvement Plan Budget provides $46,000 for electric vehicle charging stations account no. 5060-43770-784-570705 ($25,000.00) and account no. 5060-43770-788-570705 ($21,000.00).

The cost will not exceed $46,000.00 in total.

Currently, the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) does not have an active Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Rebate Program. However, in the past these rebate have typically been retroactive and covered 50% of Level II EV charging station equipment and installation costs up to the following caps: $3,750 per networked single station; $3,000 per non-networked single station; $7,500 per networked dual station; and $6,000 per non-networked dual.
