Background
At the February 21, 2017 Board Meeting staff recommended the approval of the creation of Lot 119 with eight (8) 24-Hour Parking Permits. The effective change resulted in a number of difficulties for residents of the Mills Park Tower. Staff worked with the Transportation Commission, Mills Park Tower Residents, Permit Holders, Oak Park Residence Corporation, West Cook YMCA, and Pleasant Business District to present ideas that would create the minimum disruption as the village transition to closing this permit parking lot and making it available for use by the Mills Park Residents and other residents in the area.
Of the eight (8) available permits, only six (6) were currently sold. The six (6) permit holders have been transitioned to nearby 24-hour parking permit lots or privately owned lots.
Alternatives
The Village Board could direct staff to continue to seek other solutions.

Ordinance 17-183 was approved at the February 21, 2017.
Citizen Advisory Commission Action
On August 28, 2017, the Transportation Commission received an update on Lot 119 which stated that the YMCA agreed to house a number of permit holders. The remaining permit holders would be relocated to available permit spaces during the October 2017 Open Sale date.
