Fiscal Impact
Based upon limited available funds for this grant program, the dollar amounts of previously awarded grants, and to make the grant application attractive to the county, staff is proposing requesting a grant application for 20% of the construction costs for this project. Construction is currently estimated at $1,550,000 and the Village will request 20% of this cost for a grant request of $310,000.

Construction of this project is currently scheduled for 2020. The proposed FY2020 budget will include funds for this project as well as any grant revenues, if awarded. The project was originally proposed for construction in 2019 and the FY2019 budget includes $1,400,000 in the Capital Improvement Fund, Public Works - Engineering, for Local Street Construction account no. 3095-43780-101-570951 for this project. The FY2019 funds will not be expended in 2019 and be proposed for the FY2020 budget.
