Overview
The Village released a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Parking Lot Improvements. A total of four (4) engineering firms submitted proposals. Staff reviewed and evaluated the proposals. The proposal from Chicagoland Paving Contractors, Inc. was the lowest, qualified bid and best fit the needs of the Village for this project.

Fiscal Impact
The FY2019 budget contains $265,000 in GL account 5060-43770-787-570707 Parking Lot Capital Improvements. So far, this year $24,750 has been expended and $240,250 remains. The recommended bid will expend $175,000 ($160,011 bid amount plus $14,989 as contingency) of the remaining budget.

This project is for Parking Lot Improvements.
The proposal from Chicagoland Paving Contractors, Inc. was the lowest qualified bid and best fit the needs of the Village for this project.
The bid amounts were as follows :
Chicagoland Paving Contractors, Inc. $160,011.00
Accu-Paving Co. $172,934.00
Brothers Asphalt Paving Co. $195,468.64
Troch McNeil Paving Co. $219,746.00
Staff will discuss with the selected firm the best way to keep parking space available and the least impactful method for serving the community.
In 2018, the Village preformed conditions assessment of all Villages owned and operated parking lots. This is part of a 5 year capital budget to improve all Village owned and operated Parking Lots.
