Regular Village Board meetings are typically held at 7:00 p.m., the first three Tuesdays of each month in Council Chambers of Village Hall (room 201), 123 Madison St. When a Regular Meeting falls on a holiday, the meeting typically is held the following night. The Village Board also meets in special sessions from time to time. However, dates and times of Special Meetings can vary and may change.

On October 28, 2020, the Transportation Commission concurred with staff's recommendation to expand the Overnight Parking zones in some areas and add parking spaces in the overnight parking zones.

Fiscal Impact
There will be no fiscal impact. Staff is not requesting to increase the number of permits sold just to make the overnight parking zones more convenient.

Background
Pursuant to 15-1-2 of the Village Code, the Chief of Police has the authority to make or enforce temporary traffic and parking regulations to cover emergencies or special circumstances. Between March 13, 2020 and October 26, 2020, due to the Covid 19 emergency, the Chief of Police authorized the relaxation of all of the on-street daytime parking restrictions including street cleaning restrictions and the overnight parking restrictions. The restrictions are now being enforced due to the Village's leaf collection and snow collection activities.

On July 27, 2020, the Village Board extended the relaxation of the overnight parking ban to September 30, 2020 and directed staff to bring back alternatives expanding overnight parking options.
