On April 27, 2021, the Village of Oak Park received a parking petition to restrict resident permit parking on the 1150 block of South Harvey. Residents of the block have reported ongoing disturbances from patrons of a bar located in Berwyn. To implement permitted restrictions on a block, the petition must be signed by residents representing at least 75% of the street frontage where the restriction is being requested. This petition was signed by residents representing 76.73% of the street frontage.

Recommendation
The Transportation Commission recommends restricting parking to residents on the 1150 block of South Harvey between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 2:30 a.m. from Fillmore Street to the alley north of Roosevelt Road. Residents must have a current Village vehicle license to override the restriction between 10 pm and 2:30 am. For hours between 10 pm and 2:30 am, the residents can request passes for their guests to override the restriction using the Passport application. Both residents and visitors staying past 2:30 am and up to 6 am would need to secure overnight parking passes, using the Passport application.
